February 7th 2019, the Bonita Springs Fire Department celebrated their grand re-opening and push in ceremony for Station #23. The fire service is rich in tradition and these ceremonies are always very special starting with a prayer from the Chaplain. There were remarks made by fire chiefs, commissioners, and EnviroStruct’s President Neil Simon. Neil presented the fire station with a custom engraved ax and expressed appreciation and honor to have built Station #23 and to give back to the public safety service and our community. In attendance were many public officials but the honorable mentions were the ones that run the calls and fight the fires. In attendance was a fire fighter from New York who was in New York City and lost many of his brothers on 9-11. It’s through these types of events that we can continue to strengthen our foundation as a community and show our appreciation to the men and women who serve.
